Subject: RE: Welcome Home Mark & Jo-Anne!!
Dear Janelle: We had a great time away in the sunshine on the beautiful cruise ship "Carnival Dream", thanks to Gold Crown Resorts the upgrade was wonderful . The ship was at capacity so we could have been left in an inside cabin , which would have spoiled the great time since we had three sea days and it was the roughest cruise we have been on. The last two days were very ,very windy with over 20ft. high swells. There definetly were not many people dining on those days. The rocking was so bad that they even had sick sacks attached to the elevators for use on all the upper decks (motion does not bother Mark of myself or we would not choose cruising for a holiday) We just were empathetic to those that spent 2 days at sea with all that motion going on.
The weather was awesome only 2 hours of rain in 7 days. Sunshine and above 80 every day, it was the best, I enjoy the wind so it was perfect weather for us. Getting away from our cold, snowy grey Ontario weather was the best pick up we could ask for.
The stateroom was a very pleasant surprise having the extra bathroom with a small tub. Our room was kept spotless and inviting by our great room steward.
We did two Carnival off shore excursions and were satisfied with both of them. We took a catamaran and snorkel, beach tour in Nassau. We saw a number of bright tropical fish ,coral and sea life. The catamaran was in great shape and the pristine Rose Beach was so heavenly and private. In St. Maarten we took the Best of St. Maarten Island and Beach Combo. We were satisfied with visiting, learning an comparing both the French and Dutch sides of the island. Our tour guide was very informative and enthusiastic, keeping everyone upbeat. The beach was pristine and the various blue hues of the ocean were amazing. In St. Thomas we shopped, walked on the great board walk and enjoyed looking at how the rich and famous live on their yachts. Oh yes and we tried the island drink "bushwacker" (milk shake on steroids)
The Dream is very large and holds over 3,500 people. Getting off the ship when we docked made me quite nervous. Most people were in a big rush to get off the ship, with some pushing which worried me about what would happen if there was an emergency. We were getting off to enjoy an Island , I'm sure if there was any type of panic it would be utter chaos. With this in mind in the future I would choose a smaller cruise ship , most definetly !
I would rate arranging our cruise with GCR at #10. Once we chose the cruise everyone was very helpful and prompt with answering our questions and guiding us through the process allowing us to have a great cruise without any problems.
Thanks, Mark and JoAnne

Subject: Re: Welcome Home Patricia & Thomas!!!
Thanks for the "welcome home". We spent a lot of time just relaxing. Sometimes our "at home" time is pretty hectic, so we really appreciated the time to just unwind. Special perks? I liked the open seating option for dinner. Sometimes we sat at a table for just the two of us; other times we shared a larger table for 6 to 8. We met lots of very nice people. Our stateroom was as expected--nothing special about it. I know being on a higher up floor is supposed to be better, but since I've got a tendency to get seasick, I think a lower floor would have been somewhat better--less rocking.
We did not do any ship based shore excursions. We spend a good amount of time in Florida, so we weren't interested in leaving the ship in Miami. We got off of the ship in Key West and walked around, but we had been there twice before. I got off in Nassau with a friend to do some shopping; Brent and I did spend some beach time in Coco Cay.
Would I change anything? Not really. The disembarkation was a little hectic. I know they want us off the ship as fast as possible, but rushing around that last morning sort of put reality in our faces all at once. We opted to carry our own bags off, so at 7:00 am, we were in the terminal.
I would recommend Celebrity Cruises to anybody. The staff is very polite, helpful.
The price for the cruise through Gold Crown was very good. I told several people what we paid and mostly their jaws dropped. Even one woman who was a travel agent thought our price was exceptional.
So, even though we are back to the "real world", thanks for your assistance in planning this cruise. We'll just look forward to our next one.

Debbie, I wanted to thank you again for the help you gave us when we thought we were going to be stranded in Houston on thursday! Your response to our plight was absolutely above & beyond! Fortunately, they did get the runways cleared & the airport opened & our flight was not cancelled so we did not need the hotel. . . . but, I can't thank you enough for your assistance! I have found that EVERYBODY I have dealt with at Gold Crown has just been so helpful & that is getting harder & harder to find today. We just returned from Cancun and that trip was planned before we became a member of Gold Crown and it was a total nightmare dealing with the people I dealt with for that trip! They were very rude & I can't tell you the lies I was told in the process of planning this trip. We were very disappointed in the room, the view, the service and basically the whole experience! It certainly made me appreciate all of you even more! Again, Debbie, thanks so much & I really look forward to working with you in the future. Marsha Horak

Thank you for your prompt reply. I'm not sure whomever is reading this, as it seems different customer service people handle the same inquiries...
Anyway, please pass along to everyone and administration that I think Gold Crown has some of the best customer service in promptly and politely handling questions. I very much appreciate it. There are a lot online businesses that could take lessons from GC customer service!

Ashley/Maria/Tracy,
I received the email containing my membership information, actually received it twice. I appreciate everyone's persistent efforts in getting this information to me. I have not yet used the services of GCR and often wondered if GCR was for real or not. I definitely have my answer. I wish other companies across the USA would take on the dedication and customer commitment that all of you have demonstrated, thank you.

Dear Ylana,
I don't have enough words to express my appreciation for all your help and the wonderful feeling that gives me to have somebody to trust without feeling embarrassed of showing some limitations.
I open the attachments and printed them. (Actually, I had them already printed time ago) Are these the eDocs requested for embarkation? The only thing that I didn't see are the luggage tags.
I will fill much more sure if you will walk me through the process. I appreciate very much your readiness to do so.
Thanks a lot,

Dan please forward this to your management for me. Thanks for every ones hard work!
GCR Management,
Please take note of the professional service and courtesy of the following individuals. I am extremely pleased with their dereliction to solve a snag in my vacation plans. Their customer service is remarkable and I thank them and GCR for a positive outcome in a negative situation. My vacation initial resort underwent heavier construction than expected and the pool area is to be closed during my dates of travel. These individuals quickly contacted me and worked with me to find a location that met the expectations of the customer. I am sure it took much research and coordination to accomplish this. In addition whenever a team member was out of the office the ball was successfully passed onto another dedicated employee. I am in Afghanistan and I do not always have the internet available. Their quick actions allowed me to overcome this obstacle in a timely manner. I believe this is the best customer service I have ever received. I will share my experience with others who are seeking vacation club memberships. Special thanks to: Nancy, Denise, and Dan!
Membership was showcasing two units at the Hacienda Del Mar
for the month of March. Our family had been wanting to take
a vacation for quite a while and were excited to be using our
membership for the first time. Because we would be getting
two units through this offering, we wanted our immediate family
of four (2 adults & 2 children) to stay in one of the units, and
have "Grammy & Pappa" along to stay in the other.
The problem however, was that each unit had a max occupancy
of two. I contacted the customer service and made a request for
all of us to be able to go, despite the max occupancy posting per
unit. They contacted the resort on our behalf and E-mailed us
back the very next day. They stated that they had great news.
The customer service arranged an exception for all of us to go;
(our family of 4 in one unit & the grandparents in the other)
No extra charge! They also wished all of us a wonderful vacation
and told us not to have any worries about our accommodations.
We had our confirmation within 48 hours and are now preparing for an
incredible vacation. With tax and service and everything included,
our total membership cost for both units for 8 days and seven nights
was $699. Obviously we checked around to see what we would have
paid elsewhere. Expedia was the only major travel provider with
availability at the time, and were asking $2,784.60 for the same unit
for the exact week.
Booking two of these units through Expedia would have cost us
$5,569.20 for just the accommodations. Our first booking through
membership saved us over $4800 on the accommodations alone.
We then booked our flight directly through the membership and
saved an additional $300 from what we would have paid through
Expedia.
Thank you Gold Crown!
Neil
